ZOOM: Gyalwa Chagtri 5.2 - Bardo teaching

Khenpo Gelek Jinpa

On ZOOM December 4-6, 2020

This time Khenpo Gelek Jinpa will teach us the last part of the Chapter V of Gyalwa Chagtri: The Integration of the Practice with the Bardo State. Bardo refers to the intermediate state between death and rebirth. With the help of the teacher's instructions on the Natural State and one's own practice one can attain liberation from samsara during Bardo of the Basic Nature, Bardo of the Clear Light, or during Bardo of Rebirth. We have now a unique opportunity to receive these teachings from the senior disciple of H.E. Yongdzin Lopön Tenzin Namdak Rinpoche, the lineage holder of Yungdrung Bön and the most important Dzogchen master of our time.

The teaching will be simultaneously translated into Finnish, French, German, Hungarian, Russian and Spanish and possibly also into Italian.

Yungdrung Bön tradition has three major Dzogchen teaching cycles and the oral transmission of Zhang Zhung Nyen Gyud is the most important of them. Druchen Gyalwa Yungdrung (1242-1290) wrote a practice manual called Gyalwa Chagtri, "Experiental Instructions". This manual is nowadays used as a basis of Zhang Zhung Nyen Gyud Dzogchen teachings. It is said to contain all necessary practices to realise the Nature of Mind and to attain full Enlightenment.

Khenpo Gelek Jinpa was born in 1967 and he became a monk at the age of 19. He was awarded a Geshe degree at Triten Norbutse Monastery in Nepal in 2001. In 2013 he was appointed as the Abbot of Shenten Dargye Ling, the Bönpo monastery in France. He teaches regularly in several  European countries, Mexico, Singapore and Thailand.

The Practice of Dzogchen in the Zhang-Zhung Tradition. The Gyalwa Chaktri of Druchen Gyalwa Yungdrung, and The Seven-fold Cycle of the Clear Light. Translated by John Myrdhin Reynolds.
