Khenchen Tenpa Yungdrung Rinpoche

ZOOM ONLINE, May 21-24, 2026

Registration by email (deadline May 18, 2026): dechenritro@gmail.com

Our respected teacher Khenchen Tenpa Yungdrung Rinpoche will teach the second part of  the text Dzogchen Yangtse Longchen in Suonenjoki and online on Zoom. Yangtse Longchen is a complete Dzogchen teaching text written in the 8th century by the great Yungdrung Bön master Nyachen Lishu Tagring. This highly practical instruction manual continues to serve as an excellent guide for contemporary people seeking a spiritual foundation for their lives. Lishu Tagring was, in many ways, an extraordinary Dzogchen master, and his biography is filled with remarkable events. At the end of his life, he attained the so-called rainbow body.

YANGTSE LONGCHEN (ཡང་རྩེ་ཀློང་ཆེན་) means “the supreme peak and the vast expanse,” referring to the complete realization of the infinite and boundless nature of mind and reality. The text includes the preliminary practices (Ngöndro), the practices of the six lokas, methods for stabilizing the mind on an object, searching for the mind, introduction to the natural state of mind, and the principal Dzogchen practices (Trekchö and Thögal).

“As for this teaching in particular, it is the main, essential, great, ultimate Teaching of excellent Mahayana. This is like a ship crossing the ocean of Samsara.”
— H.E. Yongdzin Lopön Tenzin Namdak Rinpoche

Our teacher, Khenchen Tenpa Yungdrung Rinpoche, was born in Nepal into the Yungdrung Bön lineage. He has served as Abbot of Triten Norbutse Monastery in Kathmandu since 2001, and since 2005 as one of the main teachers of the Bön monastery Shenten Dargye Ling in France. Khenchen Rinpoche is an authentic and highly accomplished lama of the Yungdrung Bön tradition who teaches extensively around the world, including in Europe, South America, and the United States. In the West he primarily teaches Dzogchen and is known for his clarity, precision, and depth.

The teachings will be given in English with translation into Finnish. No previous experience in Dzogchen meditation is required.
